Just enough snowflakes fell this morning to silence the world.

They offered beauty and nourishment

while providing a coating.

They blended into the scene

and stood out in contrast.

At times some were trinkets

and others blankets.

They were cradled with care

and embraced with love.

A few hid from view

while others flowed forth.

They told the story

that included blank pages.
I give thanks for their silent offering.
Beautiful photos, Leigh. I could sense the silence of the morning, a powdered sugar landscape!

Exactly, Faith. And it’s all gone. Freezing rain on the way.

Thanks Mary. I hope you enjoyed your Stevens Brook “Read Across America” experience. I was nervous for mine, but made it through.

Isn’t nature nice? She leaves us beauty no matter what.

Yup, and today is equally beautiful (and hazardous) in its own way. I know walking in your woods isn’t an issue, but be careful on your driveway, Jin.
