  1. Hey Larry, unfortunately the twist is oriental bittersweet–in Pondicherry Park. But in a way, the structure is a statue that could be used to educate all about how bittersweet can strangle a tree. As for the spiral–that was the spore surface of a fungi. I’m not positive about the ID, but think it may have been Hexagonal-pored polypore (Polyporus alveolaris). All of these I took in the park today.
